Yay gay but something else that James Robinson said in his interview that has me irked:

"…the only thing I was sad about in terms of a younger Justice League was that there wasn’t going to be Jade and Obsidian…”

We have Huntress and Power Girl retconned into this new Earth 2, why can’t we have a Jade and Obsidian that’s not related to Alan Scott? Before reading #1, I was hopeful we would see some of the next-generation heroes from Infinity Inc. integrated in with the not-as-old-as-they-used-to-be heroes, but with Wonder Woman’s “I am the last surviving Amazon” speech, I assumed any sort of appearance by Fury/Lyta Hall was now out of the question and began worrying about the fates of others. (Although Lyta and Hector Hall are so tied to Daniel/The Sandman that I can understand why a writer would rather leave them be in the Dreaming.)
Hopefully we’ll see these characters in the future (along with Donna Troy and Wally West), but right now it just seems sad to me that there’s a sort of “kill list” of great characters at DC Comics while continually reading really bad reviews of other books they’re trying to make happen.
