Fun story: I went to TuezGayz at Barbarella in December and asked the DJ to play Robyn. He played “Call Your Girlfriend,” “Stars 4-Ever,” and “Dancing On My Own.” It was HEAVEN. 

On the advice of someone on flickr, I submitted this Courtney Love photo of mine to a contest called “Over the Top at SXSW.” I would love you long time if you could take the time to vote for it and spread the word. (You do have to create an account to vote, but by voting that also enters you in a contest to win tickets to Cirque du Soleil!)

The best of the rest from the Hole show. The show varied from the original setlist, but I think you get the idea.

Show highlights:

- Opening with “Pretty On the Inside/Sympathy For the Devil” right into “Skinny Little Bitch” without missing a beat.
- Violet. “One above and one below!”
- Courtney actually getting a little weepy and wiping some tears away during “Letter to God.”
- Being told they only had time for one more song, when there were four more on the setlist. Courtney said, “no, make that go away. Who do I have to talk to to make that go away? You? In the sunglasses?” She later caved and introduced “Samantha” as the last song with a “fuck you” right before. 

Hole, playing their first US show in a decade, at the Spin Showcase at SXSW 2010. Can’t believe I was this close. Hearing “Violet” was probably the highlight of my entire festival.
